Tragic Incident Unfolds at Mountain of Fire Church: Woman Passes Away After Prayer Session

 

  In a somber turn of events, tragedy struck the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries in the Ibafo area of Ogun State as a devoted congregant, 75-year-old Bisi Adewumi, reportedly slumped during a prayer session and succumbed to her condition hours later.

The distressing incident was brought to light when the church's Head of Security, Pastor Ekikere Esiere, attached to the renowned Prayer City along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, reported the occurrence to the Ibafo division of the Ogun State police.

According to reports from PUNCH Metro, the incident unfolded on Thursday around 5:30 p.m., prompting immediate action from the church's personnel. The ailing congregant was swiftly taken to the church clinic for urgent medical attention.

Regrettably, despite efforts to stabilize her at the church clinic, Bisi Adewumi's health did not improve. Consequently, she was referred to the Sagamu General Hospital, where she was pronounced dead on Friday. The state police command's spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the unfortunate turn of events, stating that the deceased's body had been deposited at the hospital morgue.

As of now, no relatives have come forward to claim the body, raising questions about the circumstances surrounding the 75-year-old woman's tragic demise. Omolola Odutola assured that an ongoing investigation aims to shed light on the incident.
